The Emmrod Packrod Cast was specifically designed for fishing from a sitting position. Much of the fishing from kayaks, canoes, tubes and smaller boats is from the sitting position. The Packrod has a very short handle so that casting and reeling can be accomplished with the anglers arms & pole closer to the body without the handle digging into or bumping the anglers body. Anglers love these because they are so compact and yet effective. The Packrod is one of Emmrod's smallest rigs making it anexcellent choicefor backpacking. The Packrod Cast can be used with most closed face cast andbaitcast reels.
